Documents Required

Please provide a printed copy of the duly filled and signed online visa application form.

The passport must be valid for a minimum period of 6 months.

The two color photographs are of passport size.

A letter duly signed by the local physician or the hospital asking for his/her treatment in India along with the documents.

The United Kingdom requires certified copies of the treatment records.

I have both the original and a copy of the Yellow Fever Certificate.

An official letter describing the required treatment, mentioning the patient's name and the attendant's name from the Indian hospital/doctor concerned, is required.

Online Application

Click Print Registered Application to get a hard copy of your form.

Add your photo to the first page's photo box if you didn't upload it online. The photograph must be exactly the same size as required by the box (2 inches (ca. 5 cm) X 2 inches (ca. 5 cm)).

Sign within the rectangular box immediately below the photo box on the first page. In the box at the bottom of the second page, repeat the same action.

Processing fees and time

The medical visa is issued for six months with triple entries from the UK to India. The fee is approximately USD 102.90 to 250. A medical visa for India for citizens of the United Kingdom is issued the same day (or maximum 3-5 days) from the date of application submission.
